Human Translation is a collaborative project with a mission to translate human awareness into human action. HT is focused on building the capacity of organizations and individuals trying to make a difference, by helping compassionate people deal with the uncertainties of humanitarian aid, and providing support for exceptional projects.

Watching this project evolve over the past five years has been a joy, and it's been a pleasure to meet some of the team as time has progressed.
The Balang reservoir project is one of the most important, exciting, and inspiring humanitarian projects that I've been privileged to support. As a collaborative effort, with Human Translation and EWB and the people of Balang, I can say from first hand experience that the effort has been both extraordinary and astounding in the scope and brilliance of its execution. I've been on the ground, walking the area wit HT founder Tobias Rose-Stockwell, and spoken with the villagers who are now receiving the benefits of this project.
Today, the day after the inauguration of the "Yes We Can" president of the U.S., it's time to recognize that some resourceful people -- at EWB -- have been promulgating this same kind of optimism for some time, and backing up the optimism with actual work on the ground. If this project were to have a tagline, it would be "Yes We Did!"
